ilovecoffee
I've tried to get 3 rooms in San Diego - Coastal (La Jolla) at a 4* property using your PRICELINE link for March 15-18. Most recent post related to this indicated that a $72 bid was accepted (there was a fairly short timeline there). I bid up to $125 with no luck... :) Any advice? Or should we look elsewhere? Thanks! yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding!Thanx for using boards PRICELINE link :) Would you be ok with a 3* in this area? HOTWIRE got a 3* for $90. Is La Jolla the only zone you're willing to stay in? Or you want to keep trying for a 4* in a diffrent zone.Yellowdog. Link to comment
ilovecoffee
To Priceline it, you're only willing to accept a 4* in La Jolla. We did book a 3* as a back up. Link to comment
imsocloey
Just FYI, I was bidding only 4* for coastal, but was also getting rejected for about the past 2 weeks. It was not until I added "downtown/harbor" that I won my bid. I just think there aren't a whole lot of 4* hotels in the coastal area willing to negotiate. Good luck to you!To Priceline it, you're only willing to accept a 4* in La Jolla. We did book a 3* as a back up. Link to comment

ilovecoffee
$130 and we are bidding for 3 rooms, for 3 nights. Link to comment
yellowdog
I don't think $130 will cut it with current rates.Your options is limited here since you don't want to go for a lower star rating or diffrent zone. You can take a chance and hope that the rates gets lower closer to your stay. But have in mind that they can go the other way also.Keep us updated and let us know if we can be of further help along the way. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.PS. Please remember follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc. Link to comment
