thereuare
Unfortunately a property with this amenity combination has not yet been reported to the board. I too thought the Clarendon with a new Tennis icon was a possibility, but this offering shows a 3.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating whereas the current TA rating of the Clarendon is 4.0/5.0, so i don't think this is likely the Clarendon. The Clarendon is totally excluded from the possibilities since the TA information shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in real time (only about once per month) so it's possible that the TA rating has changed since HOTWIRE's last update, but this, along with the Tennis icon, would make it seem a bit less likely. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. benbethel
Hey there - as the owner of The Clarendon and also a betterbidding user myself (I was years ago at least!), this is what I can tell you to help out. 1) just email me if you're looking to stay at The Clarendon - I'll do whatever possible to work with your budget. 2) March in Phoenix is really, really busy and we're sold out most nights, so we just might not have inventory loaded that far out yet, or may not even need to load it. 3) we have our "neighborhood" changed 2 to 4 times per year since we're on the cusp of two hotwire neighborhoods - keeps people guessing a little. 4) we have our star rating changed 2-3 times per year on hotwire, as we don't set it, guest satisfaction scores do - we've been as high as four, as low as three, but are most of the time 3.5, but were just notified that we should be bumping back up to four soon. we like 3.5 because there aren't any other 3.5s in our neighborhood, but there are 3s and 4s... this means that right now we're the only hotel to display, but when we are are a solid 3 or 4 then we're competing with other properties for rate. This should help, I can't give away too much - but always feel free to email me directly - I am human, and I will work with people's budgets as much as possible! Thanks!Ben BethelOwner/GM Link to comment
jman1975
Thanks for writing Ben! I don't think i've ever had a property owner correspond on here :) I appreciate the offer, unfortunately, I had a bid work out for me on Priceline so I won't be able to try the Clarendon this time. Definitely is a visually appealing place, glad boutique hotels like yours are out there!moderators- per the above paragraph, I didn't pursue the Hotwire bid any further Link to comment
benbethel
Thanks for the email - this thread just popped up on my daily google news search, and I try to respond to everything personally... I have a lot of passion for what I'm doing and I'll do anything I can to help out. I got into the business to make my community better and a cooler place in which to live and show people who are visiting that Phoenix isn't just another city - we're the 5th largest city in the country and we're becoming quite a great place to visit, not to mention the amazing places like sedona that are just 90 minutes away!Ben Link to comment
