njsurfer
I won the only resort in the waikiki beach area that I did not want. Oh well, we'll give it a go and see how I like it. This is the first time that I did not get the hotel I wanted on PRICELINE, but that's the chance that you take with bidding.Started at $100 Rebid 4 non-resort areas in $5 incrementsAdded Ihilani for $125Added North Shore for $130Will post back after I return Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to see this was a hotel you were hoping to avoid, but at leas the price looks to be pretty good and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised with the stay. While this may be the first time you didn't get what you wanted, in such situations HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can often identify, or at least avoid, the hotel(s) you're hoping to not receive (ie- if the hotel you're trying to avoid doesn't have a pool you can safely purchase any hotel which shows the Pool icon and 'know' it's not the one you're hoping to avoid)Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay and hope it goes better than expected. njsurfer
Well Thereuare, you were right! I really ended up liking the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The service was great. I liked being a little further away from the hustle and bustle of International Marketplace and the street acts. I prefer this hotel over the Hyatt :) Link to comment
