Wanted family/beachfront, got swanky bayside. Oh well, thats the gamble. Weird though, I had already bid $100 for 3.5, then dropped down to 3* and added South Beach, and then got this one. I went down and got more. Either way I will be in FL, so I am happy! Link to comment

tooniebug Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 Won 3.5* Daddy O in Miami Beach for $100 for tomorrow night. Now it looks like we may not make it due to snowstorm/canceled flights. Is there any hope at all that priceline will do anything for me? I know the official policy would say no, but has anyone had weather issues and gotten anywhere? If Priceline won't, would it hurt to call the hotel directly and ask if they will move my date back a day or two?And finally, we got our car with hotwire (full size, Ft. Lauderdale, $15 per day x 5 days). If I can't pick up on the scheduled day (tomorrow) will they honor the reservation for the remaining 4 days, assuming we can get out on Friday?Sorry for all the questions, I'm a noooooob. :) Link to comment
thereuare Posted January 26, 2011 Report Share Posted January 26, 2011 Regarding the car rental the first step I would take is to call the rental company now and let them know that you may be arriving late (perhaps even a by a day or two) on account of weather related issues. If you have any issue/problem from them then i'd contact HOTWIRE.Regarding the hotel, i wouldn't do anything until you actually know if your flight is canceled. At that point i would contact PRICELINE to see if they can do anything for you... if not, then as a 2nd attempt i'd contact the hotel to see if they're able to assist in any way.
