Just wanted to follow up with a review of this hotel. We arrived around 10pm and were given Smoking Room on the third floor in spite of two phone calls requesting Non-Smoking and Late Arrival. Room had not been used in awhile and was very disappointing. Furniture needs upholstery replaced as material was torn and had several cigarette burns (as well as carpet). Safety chain was broken on door. Light fixtures were loose on walls. Elevator door would not open on 3rd floor -- had to go to 4th and walk down. Second elevator was non-operational. Outdoor pool was drained for repairs but was filled by the time we left four nights later.

We were told to have our bags packed and waiting inside the door to be moved to a Non-Smoking room the next day. Came back from DL late in the evening to find out a new room had been assigned on 10th floor but bags were still in old room. Had to transfer them ourselves as we didn't want to wait for a bellhop to do it (never even saw one the entire time we were there). Were given free breakfast for our trouble. This room was a bit nicer but a/c didn't work.

Hotel uses ART shuttle for DL and is last stop on route. Service was very unreliable and ran every 40-50 minutes instead of 20 mins. as advertised. Overall, would not stay here or use shuttle ever again!

Here's my review of the Hilton Suites Anaheim/Orange.

Stayed here for 3 nights, Apr 9-12, 2007 (won PL bid $45/day).

Arrived @ 3pm & was given a N/S 2 Dbl bed room (as requested) on 3rd floor by the elevator. Check-in clerk mentioned stay was pre-paid via PL. I consider this a "priceline" room as the hotel was not full during our stay & it would've been nice to be given a room w/ a better location. Our room was facing the freeway, but with the windows & balcony sliding door closed, we could not hear the freeway noise. However, we could hear the elevators' occasional "ding" as well as the "moaning" of the glass elevators traveling through the shafts. Since Disneyland was opened 8am-12midnight (CA Adventure 10am-10pm), we were out the entire days & were too tired to be bothered by this noise during sleep.

Our suite consisted of a separate living room with pull-out double sofa bed, a club chair, a table w/ 4 chairs, a kitchenette (microwave, mini-frig, wet-bar sink, coffee maker). The bedroom had 2 dbl beds w/ down bedding. Extra bedding (down pillow + vellux blanket + sheets) for sofa bed stored in closet. Access to the bathroom can be reached from both the living room & bed room. Plenty of storage (closet & dresser). 2 TVs (one in each room). Plenty of free parking in the hotel parking lot.

Room & bathroom (separate tub + shower stall) was updated, clean, towels large/fluffy. A/C worked fine & was quiet. We had trouble with a very slow shower drain; water pooled @ the bottom of pan, potential over-flow. Informed front desk on day 1, but when we returned (very late) from DL, the drain had not been cleared :) . Informed front desk again on day 2, drain was fixed when we returned late.

Did not use the pools (a bit too cool this April spring week), but a few kids were in the outdoor pool. Swim towels are provided next to pool. No one was using the indoor (heated) pool or hot spa (both kind of small). Used gym (kind of small), not crowded, we were the only ones there.

Did not eat @ hotel. We went to The Block (a shopping mall/restaurants) just a few blocks away & plenty of restaurants near the park. We did not use the shuttle, we drove to the park every day (~ 15 mins away via surface streets or via freeway depending on traffic + lights). You cannot walk back to the hotel from the park (a car/shuttle is necessary).

Very nice :) stay, we would definitely stay here again if won on PL!

Stayed 2 nights March '09.

Property is a 12-story indoor atrium-style (think Hyatt Regency Embarcadero) design. Room we got was a Handicapped room, it featured a separate living room w/ sofabed, desk, chair w/ottoman, TV; also wet bar, coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator, wireless internet $10/day, nintendo & toy internet. Bathtub/shower with rails; hair dryer. King bed, TV in BR. Ample TV channels and PPV. You will be offered a self parking hang tag which is $11/day (valet $14/day), politely decline as there is free overnight street parking approx. 50 yards from entrance just beyond periphery of hotel parking lot (hotel info book says, "All parking surrounding the hotel is available free of charge for our hotel guests.") Coffee shop in lobby features breakfast buffet, 6A-11A, $16, kids $8. Room service 6A-11P. Restaurant 6A-10P, bar until 11P. Pools/jacuzzi/sauna/exercise room 6A-10P, small indoor htd pool, main htd pool & jacuzzi outdoors, poolside service available. Gift shop 6A-10P; business center 24H. Luggage carts; bell service 7A-11P. About 1.5 mi to Disneyland, if you didn't rent a car for your trip to L.A., don't whine about airport or Disneyland shuttle services or the lack thereof. National Sports bar adj. Other shops/restaurants in vic (Block of Orange; Anaheim Resort zone). Near Anaheim Amtrak/Angels Stadium/Honda Center arena.
