If you want, call the Westin on the day of your trip and see if they'll upgrade you to a river view room for $40, which seems to be the hotel's going rate for an upgrade. I got a room there for $69, then paid 40 and got a river/city view room on the 17th floor. Unbelievable view.

If I upgrade, am I still considered a 2nd class guess who booked thru hotwire, or I can enjoy "early" check-in and such. The reason I ask is that last week, I stayed at JW Marriott at Penn Avenue in DC; I had to wait well past check-in time to get my room even though many others got their keys quickly. I suspect that's the price I had to pay by booking through priceline; I even overbidded by $8. Well, Marriott didn't get to pocket it, priceline did :)
