abseeya
Need some assistance on how much to start bidding at. I couldn't find any recent wins in the forums that could help. Place: Resort Ft Myers-Naples (Bonita Springs) Hyatt Regency Coconut PointDates: December 31, 2010 - January 7, 2011Can you also please confirm that this is in fact the only 'resort' in the Bonita Springs zone? Would also appreciate a bidding strategy if bids are rejected - it looks like we could rebid using all other areas other than Marco Island which also has a 'resort' level property.Through the hotel, we can get the AAA rate of $269 for Dec. 31 & Jan. 1 and $215 for the remaining 5 days, including breakfast. Not sure how much better we can do using Priceline.Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
The Hyatt is the only hotel reported to the board at the Resort level, there is no way to know if there are others not yet reported (or recently added or upgraded)Given the hotel direct rate what would be your maximum bid for a Resort property in this zone? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. abseeya
Given the time of year max bid would be around $180 (is that too high?) - it seems that this property has gone for as little as $85 outside of holiday periods. Link to comment
thereuare
It's probably not too high given the New Year's Eve holiday... my 'concern' is if there is no inventory for just one nite of your stay (very possible that there would be no inventory for NYE given it's typically a high demand date for hotels) then there is no chance for your entire stay to be accepted. If you want to give it a try, at the Resort level in the Ft Myers area you have NINE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select Resort Bonita Springs...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150If the above is rejected wait 24 hours and re-try (once again starting with the PRICELINE links on the board and don't forget to double check your re-bid zones to make sure that nothing has changed):Select Resort Bonita Springs...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $180Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
