3.5* DC (Chantilly-Dulles Airport IAD South) Crowne Plaza Dulles

Selected IAD Chantilly/Dulles South Area. Tried for a same-day bid for $50 and won on the first try. Too Easy. :)

You got a great deal, but I'm puzzled. When I try to bid in just IAD Chantilly/Dulles South, Priceline only shows bidding up to 3*s. Were you on Hotwire? Or were you actually bidding 3* and got an upgrade?

I can understand why you're puzzled.

I used the "Name Your Own Price" feature on PRICELINE. Prior to clicking on "Name Your Own Price," I've pre-selected the location and dates for desired travel. Looking back on it, I actually selected Dulles North, Herdon - Reston. It allowed me to select the 3.5* rating.

I'm looking at it from your perspective, and it really doesn't let you bid above 3* with Dulles South being selected.

You might consider changing your geographic preference to Dulles North if you don't mind the 1 or 2 mile difference. I apologize for the slight misinformation I posted, it was LATE last night when I bid, and I had the intention of selecting Dulles South, if Dulles North wasn't available. I'm just there on a loooong layover, so anything with a shuttle to and from IAD would do.
