gea888
Hello! Can someone please help me form a bidding plan for my upcoming trip to NYC.I'm willing to start at $120 and spend up to $160 a night.I would like to stay in either a 3.5* or 4*.I don't care where the hotel is located, as long as it's in Manhattan, NOT the other boroughs. Please advise! Thank you so much! Link to comment
thereuare
Did you want to try for a 4* hotel first up to your limit OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay. Also, to confirm, note that the UES and UWS zones can go pretty far north... you've ok with all areas of these zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please click this PRICELINE link before replying. gea888
I would like to try for a 4* first. I don't mind where the hotel is located, including the UES and UWS as long as they are 3.5 or 4*. Thank you! Link to comment
thereuare
I'm guessing your budget is not likely going to be enough for these dates, but to give it a try...At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* CPS, Chelsea, DT, ESB, HK...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, MTW, TS, UWS...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, Chelsea, DT, ESB, HK...Bid $115, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS, MTW, TS, UWS...Bid $115, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS, MTW, DT, ESB, HK...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, Chelsea, TS, UWS...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS, Chelsea, TS, ESB, HK...Bid $125, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, MTW, DT, UWS...Bid $125, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS, Chelsea, DT, UWS, HK...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE, MTW, TS, ESB...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS, Chelsea, DT, ESB, HK, MTE, MTW, TS, UWS...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160Any questions feel free to ask. gea888
Thank you for the bidding plan. I know my amount is low, but I guess it's worth a try. I have one question though. In the first part, for a "4* CPS, Chelsea, DT, ESB, HK...", do I only select those five zones, or does the "..." mean I select others as well, or just the areas that are written? In the first bid, that would mean CPS, Chelsea, DT, ESP, and HK. Link to comment
thereuare
You select just those 5 zones. The '...' was meaning 'continue to the next line'.Please remember to use the requested PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board for your bidding.Good luck and let us know how it goes. gea888
Thank you for the bidding plan. After following it however, my bids weren't accepted.I know it's probably impossible to get a hotel in NYC for that weekend anyway.I'm now looking in the Washington DC area.Could you look at my post in that section and help me form a bidding plan?I have this time off from work...and am determined to not stay at home for a "stay-cation!"
