OneDiaphanous
Hello.First post and first time using Priceline for a hotel- I'd used it for a flight before, but never hotels. I read the rebid tips and made use of them. And I used your PRICELINE links for searches and the purchase! Thanks for a really useful site!1st try (to test the water) 4* at $52, Downtown Philly. No luck.2nd try added 3.5 star, didn't add an area, still no luck.3rd try added 3* and dropped bid to $47 (thinking I might get the Hilton Garden Inn which someone recently won for $45) Still nada.4th try- closed PL and reopened (restarted process) so it would let me drop the 3* . Put in $57 as I'd seen the Sheraton on here at a similar rate. It told me I was trying to make a duplicate bid (which I was) and asked me to change something. Added one of the other zones which only had hotels up to 2.5 star. This time it worked!Total w/taxes and fees about $72. Not bad since the lowest price on Kayak was $172. Link to comment
