thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! There are two Disneyland zones... (Disneyland-Anaheim) and (Disneyland-Orange-Garden Grove). Which of these, or both, are you willing to accept? Which have you already bid at $55 and $65 above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. renocarson
I bid up to $55 in Disneyland zone hoping to get one of the Holiday Inn Hotels. Then added Disneyland/Garden Grove and bid $65 trying to get one of the 3 1/2 star hotels in Garden Grove.I'm not fussy in what I get. Don't understand why prices are higher. Must be a big conference. Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
What is your maximum bid for this stay?Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. renocarson
Prefer not to split my bid. Bid up to $55 again no success. Max bid not an issue as I have to get something on these dates. What would you recommend for 3 star and 3-1/2 star. I need to get something in the next 2 days. Link to comment
thereuare
As you're switching between zones and star ratings, there has to be some threshold at the 3.5* level before dropping to the 3* level (at least their should be).How high do you want to bid for a 3.5* before lowering your star rating and trying for a 3*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? (and if so how high are you willing to bid before you'd be better booking thru conventional booking channels)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. renocarson
Just got rejected at 3.5 star for $65 with my 4 rebids. Don't understand why I cannot get something for that price unless there's a major convention going on. Willing to got up to $75 for a 3 1/2 star and $60 for a 3 star. Any guidance? Link to comment

renocarson
There must be a big event on Friday, Oct 23d. Checked various sites and hotels were basically filled up in the Disneyland area for that night, Booked through conventional means 5 miles away from the park. Got something which was my main goal. Thanks for your help. Link to comment

1Venus
Blizzcon, a large gaming convention is taking place October 22 & 23rd. 20,000 tickets were sold for the event so I suspect that is why you've encountered difficulities while trying to obtain a room. It's good, however, that you finally found one elsewhere. Link to comment
se7enred7
As a data point, I won a priceline bid at the 3.5* (marriott suites) in garden grove on October 21-25 for $65. Also, it's a little late now, but the park will be closing early on saturday, unless you want to pay $50 extra for trick or treat. Link to comment
