sakawaka
Hey there,My family and I are planning a Disneyland trip for next week (9/14 - 9/18) and want to use Priceline to grab a hotel room. We've used it before with great results. However, the last time we used it, I don't think the Disneyland zones were split into two... so how does that affect a bidding strategy? Do I have to concentrate on one of those or does it not matter?Anyway, those are the dates we will be there, and our maximum rate would probably be around $55. Strategy help? :) Thanks! thereuare
You can bid either area, or if the boundaries of each are acceptable, select them both.To confirm, you're aware that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy which means you could receive a room with only one bed (if you're only seeking one room it sounds as if you may be more than double occupancy). Since this is a family friendly area the risk here is somewhat lower then in other major cities, but it's still a risk you need to be aware of.Let us know regarding the zones and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. sakawaka
Thanks.Yes, we're aware of the risk... like you said, it's pretty low for that area. We've had no problem requesting 2 queen beds after previous Priceline wins. :)We like the newer hotels in the Garden Grove area, if that matters, but of course we'd be happy with either zone. And, of course we'll definitely use your PRICELINE links to place our bids. Thanks again. :) Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3.5* (Disneyland-Orange-Garden Grove) and (Disneyland Anaheim)...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $48, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $55If you're willing to pay a little more for a hotel in the Garden Grove zone you could bid that zone thru the bidding cycle first, then if rejected, close browser, use this link to re-access PRICELINE, and repeat using the Anaheim zone. If you're looking for the least expensive 3.5* or better out of the two zones, then bid them both together as above.Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. sakawaka
We just scored the Crowne Plaza Anaheim - Garden Grove for $48 per night through the PRICELINE links. :) We started with the strategy noted above for $45, then Priceline offered a "one-time" rebid try if we increased our bid to $60. No way. So we added the Anaheim Hills rebid zone and bid $48 and was accepted. We wanted the Garden Grove area, so we did not include the other D-Land zone. Thanks for everything! :) Link to comment
