lbryant
I'm trying to decipher the information here and am getting confused by the hotel list when it shows multiple amenity options. Can you help? We're looking for a FLL hotel in mid October. Hotwire shows the following:Hollywood Beach: 4* description: bed choice, resort, boutique hotel, fitness ctr, pool(s), restaurant(s), wireless internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby, spa: $75/night.Would you guess Crowne Plaza or Westin Diplomat? What do you base your guess on?Ft Lauderdale Beach: 4* description: oceanfront, fitness ctr, pool(s), restaurant(s), business center, laundry, internet, spa: $109/nightWould you guess W Fort Lauderdale, Hyatt Pier 66 or Il Lugana? Why is Hollywood Beach 4* so much less than Ft Lauderdale Beach 4*?We'll be there 2 nights pre-cruise. Which area would you suggest to limit the # of taxi's needed to find shops, restaurants, beach, etc.Last question: we'll need 2 rooms for 2 couples: do I list the Hotwire request as 2 room: 4 people (is it understood that 2 per room) or should I list 2 rooms 2 people (indicating 2 per room)?Thank you - Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding! Can you please post your dates for this stay.Last question: we'll need 2 rooms for 2 couples: do I list the Hotwire request as 2 room: 4 peopleYes, you should search for 2 rooms/4 adults. Did you do this for your current search? Why is Hollywood Beach 4* so much less than Ft Lauderdale Beach 4*?Hollywood Beach is usually cheaper than Fort Lauderdale Beach. We'll be there 2 nights pre-cruise. Which area would you suggest to limit the # of taxi's needed to find shops, restaurants, beach, etc.The beach area in Fort Lauderdale is really nice and close to Las Olas etc. A taxi will run $15-$20 from the airport. And since you don't have a car would i suggest that you go with Fort Lauderdale or you'll be stuck at the hotel or with taxi's in Hollywood.Let us know about your search and we'll look at the hotels. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. lbryant
Dates: Sun,10/17 - Tue 10/19It sounds like you recommend Ft Lauderdale Beach location (over Hollywood Beach area) because we'll be able to walk to some locations instead of using a taxi, is that right?Of the 4* hotels available in the Ft Lauderdale Beach area, there are 1-2 we would prefer. what is the best strategy for increasing our chances of getting one of these? (would prefer Marriot Ft Lauderdale Beach resort or W Ft Lauderdale over Il Lugano).Thank you for your help. Link to comment

You need to be willing to stay at any 4* in the zone you're bidding at. The best thing here is to go with HOTWIRE.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. Link to comment
