meg6784
I just looked for a hotel through Hotwire in Streetsboro, OH. One of the offers I received was from a 3* hotel for $39 a night. I thought it was a great deal! However, my husband and I were not clear on our travel plans and I was just looking to gauge what the cost of the trip would be. I went back tonight to check the price and there was the same 3* hotel for $55 a night now. What gives? Is there a better time during the week when it's cheaper to book?Edited to Add: I was looking to book the hotel from the 4th-6th of September. Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding :) It don't have to be the same hotel. It could be a diffrent 3* with the same amenities. Or maybe the price got higher because the hotel re-priced the HOTWIRE inventory due to more "regular" incoming bookings. What gives? Is there a better time during the week when it's cheaper to book? No, there's no best day to book on. Please read this link: Should i Bid Early or Close to Arrival Date If you need any ID help so please list the amenties HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're looking at and we'll have a look at this.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. Z3R0
Not only that, but rates -are- based upon availability. Even if it were the same hotel, the rate could have increased due to the availability for that particular location running out. The less rooms there are remaining, the higher the rate usually goes. Adversity is like a flame, it melts the weak and tempers the strong. Link to comment
