Hello,

Have been trying since late June for an August 7 - 14th trip. Was trying to get in USE and bidding up to $110 always 4*. Added USW at times. Splitting up dates didn't work either. Used the rebid zones as well. Has been frustrating and doesn't seem to be many bookings during those dates. Maybe something is on in San Fran?

Finally added the Financial and SOMA zones before getting the Intercontinental from August 8 - 11.

3 nights @ $120.

Used the PRICELINE link through betterbidding.com

i am trying to get a room aug 7-11 and have bid all the way up to $120 for a 4 star and 3.5 star and nothing so far. i too am wondering if there is something going on in san fran that weekend or week? i see 4 stars going for $85-$100 all the time using priceline in nob hill, union sq, financial, soma areas.

anyone know if there is a big convention or somthing in town?

so intercontinental in PRICELINE is in SOMA area??? or was it because it was taking into account the other areas too?

There is the InterContinental reported in this thread which is at 888 Howard Street and in the SOMA-Mascone zone... and there is also the InterContinental Mark Hopkins at 999 California St which is in the USW-Nob Hill zone.
