TX Houston Holiday Inn Express Convention Center Downtown

We booked this hotel through Hotwire for $84/night July 4-7, 2010 for a romantic getaway. We loved it!! It had free parking (many downtown hotels charge $20+ per night for parking). It also had a complementary breakfast bar. It included eggs, bacon or sausage, french toast, cinnamon rolls, muffins, cereal, yogurt, croissants, bread, several different juices, milk, and coffee. The pool was small, but it was nice. It also had a hot tub. There was a small workout room with a treadmill, elliptical machine, and stationary bike. The lobby had 2 computers available. The room had a comfy bed and a small refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. At 4, they put out fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and juice. It is next to a freeway, but we did not hear any noise. It was within walking distance of the convention center, Toyota Center, and Minute Maid Park. We would definitely stay there again.
