Priceline Hotel: 3.5* or 4* in Montreal?

Hi, I am new to here and also the PRICELINE as well. I need some urgent help.

I am looking to book 3 nights in Montreal (July 11th till July 14th) & 3 nights in Quebec City (July 14th till July 16th). So please give me some advice on how much that I should bid on the hotels at those area and location to stay. Because I have no idea regarding those area, so I need some help here. :) Thanks in advance. Oh it's for my wife and I.

My friends just visited from NY and stayed at Hotel Brossard, which is on the South shore of Montreal.

If you have a car, it's a great location. 99$/night, free continental breakfast and free parking. You can then decide to take the bus (15 mins ride) or park downtown. They had a car and really enjoyed their stay.
