Thanks. I'm thinking it's the Alden, too, but think I will go with the 2.5* downtown Houston hotel for $84 that I'm pretty sure is the Holiday Inn. It has breakfast and parking included, which is a great price for the area. I'll use your HOTWIRE link and post my final decision in a few days.

I just booked the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Convention Center for 7/4-7/7/2010 for $84/night and used your HOTWIRE link.

Amenities (already listed on betterbidding):

Continental Breakfast

Fitness Center

Pool

Laundry Facilities

HOTWIRE saved me about $40 over other sites. Other sites had the first 2 days at $84 but the third day was $121 everywhere else. We're going to an Astros game and wanted to be close. The free parking and continental breakfast were big pluses for us, too. Thanks for your help, better bidding peeps!! : )
