mama2miles
I just did an offer of $100 for 3/31-4/3 for a 5* Strip (the Venetian) through Priceline and was rejected. We would like to spend no more than $150 a night. Are we kidding ourselves? Do you have any suggestions? Link to comment
thereuare
Based upon current rates i don't think you'll be successful. Are you utilizing your RE-BID ZONES? Have you considered SPLITTING YOUR BID?I don't think that any of the two will come in handy at this point given current prices, but they may help you as rates/inventory begin to change closer to your check-in date. ucsf_med
You must be kidding, $100 at the venetian for a weekend? Good luck trying to get $100 for a weekday! Link to comment
thereuare
We've seen weekend acceptances at these prices in the past... but it's more the exception than the rule. mama2miles
Actually we got that Sun night (4/3) for $100 on priceline. Should we book a back up and try again closer to our arrival date? How close? Thanks so much! Link to comment
thereuare
Please start a new thread for the balance of your stay. Was the $100 your first bid in the zone? If not, what was the highest previously rejected bid? When was this bid accepted?I would book a back-up that you intend on staying at (not a "just in case" reservation) as rates are high enough at the moment that you're not going to be close at $150/nite.Keep an eye on prices at the Venetians website, looking for a drop in order to try this again. TBQ
There is a 12,000 delegate trade show at the Sands Expo Center (next to the Venetian) that runs from 3/30 to 4/01. The Venetian is the HQ hotel. Link to comment
mama2miles
TBQ-Thank you for the information! We'll book somewhere else! Link to comment
