Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Chicago (NMA-River North) Ambassador East

Prices are up a bit around these dates but was able to get a decent older hotel at a decent rate ... Ambassador East.

I tried initially to get a 4* hotel, but had about 5 unsuccessful tries .. started at $80 ... topped out at $105. I then decided to just lower to a 3 1/2*, and was able to snag Ambassador East at $90 after trying $85 with my initial bid. All in all I don't think $90 is a terrible rate given that my dates are right around the 4th of July.

Nice deal for this property for the holiday period - this historic property (which has a very interesting history - see the wall of celeb photos near the lobby) was recently bought up and will be turned into a boutique starting later this year. Great area, too - easy walk North to Lincoln Park Zoo and Old Town.
