Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (Downtown-SoHo-Financl) Millenium Hilton(?)

My wife and I are looking for a nice hotel in or close to Greenwich Village. Are there any hotels in that area or close? We would prefer 3-5 star hotel.

We will be coming on 3/4 ( friday) for one night.

p.s. when do you think we should try to book a couple days before?

You should first to go HOTWIRE and PRICELINE and see how they divide the zones... you have to be willing to accept receiving a hotel anywhere within the shaded area(s) you select.

There aren't too many hotels in the Greenwich Village area... so if you're trying to get the best price you may want to expand your options to include the midtown locations as you'll still have reasonable/inexpensive access to the village.

Let us know what you decide regarding your zones as well as your expected budget, and we'll take it from there.

We ended up getting the Millennium UN Plaza for $170.00 a night.

it was a great location, over looking the Hudson River and right at the 9/11 site, quite moving .

Very close to the subway .

Would stay there again .

I assume you mean the Millenium Hilton Downtown? (the Millenium UN is on the West side and in midtown, not near the 9/11 site... as well, the Millenium UN is run by the Millenium hotel chain, while the one downtown is run by the Hilton group)
