pjmystic Posted February 22, 2005 Report Share Posted February 22, 2005 Stayed here 1 night 01/19/05. Older hotel but very nice. Room was on the smaller side but clean. Pool area was very nice, too cold to swim though when we were there. Hotel is right across the street from the beach. Free newspaper on the hall. Didn't try the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very nice hotel. Would stay there again. From what I could see, I would rate it is one of the top 3 hotels in Galveston. Link to comment

I recall that it's a member of the Historic Hotels of America. It's been a couple years since I've stayed there, but I would recommend it to anyone who likes historical ambiance. Link to comment
