lionheartmd
Hello,I was trying to book a 4* in Toronto Downtown North but I ended up with the 4* Sheraton Gateway. The Sheraton Gateway is listed as being in Toronto Airport East but I had only entered Toronto Airport West, which is not supposed to have a 4*. Just to let everyone know... Link to comment
robteb
If you don't want this hotel, I would call Priceline customer service and complain. The location of the Sheraton Gateway is very clearly in the Toronto Airport East area on the Priceline map. Link to comment

As noted at the top of the priceline Hotel List, DON"T use the hotel lists to determine your re-bid zones. Using the proper technique as outlined in Priceline Re-Bidding Explained, at the moment the Airport West zone does contain 4* hotels. If you're unsure how to determine your re-bid zones from the previous link feel free to ask for help and/or confirmation of your re-bid zones for your future bidding. As for this purchase, can you please add a reply to this thread with the amount of your winning bid and the date(s) of your stay so we can add this information to the topic title and enable your results to appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. If you pursue this 'incorrect zone' with PRICELINE please let us know the outcome. lionheartmd
June 4th - $100I did call Priceline and although their map clearly shows that the hotel (located in Terminal 3) is on the east side of the airport, they refused to do anything about it. Link to comment
thereuare
You'll need to escalate this if you want to pursue this... if you're not familiar with the area (as i'm not) it does require a bit of digging to located Terminal 3 on the satellite version on the map. Unless you can find a mapping program which indicates the exact location on a map (most just plot this as "Toronto Airport"... not pinpointing Terminal 3) you'll have to go thru a fair amount of detail on how to make someone realize it's in the wrong zone.Another approach you may want to take is to call the hotel, inform them of your stay, and have them look at the PRICELINE zone to confirm that the hotel is in the wrong zone... then discuss with them regarding a cancellation and having them contact PRICELINE to have the hotel properly classified (or re-define the zone boundaries). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know if you make any headway. robteb
It seems this has happened before with this hotel. Check out this previous thread, which was resolved in chickpea1111's favour. Perhaps this is a bit more ammo. for you if you decide to fight further. Looking again at the PRICELINE area map, it certainly appears to me to have been drawn specifically to include the Sheraton Gateway in the Airport East area. Otherwise the boundary of the Airport East area could have stopped at Airport Road, as all hotels except the Sheraton are on the East side of the street (the west side being airport property). Good luck!!! Link to comment
