hazlitt
I am looking for a place near the Hyatt Embarcadero in San Francisco mid-June and noticed that lastminutetravel.com seems to have the hotel at a reasonable price. Does anybody have any experience in using lastminutetravel.com - are they reliable? - orshould I stick to HOTWIRE.com which doesn't seem to have the same deal. Thanks Link to comment

thereuare
Just make sure the hotel you're purchasing / deal you're seeing is listed as "Available" and not as "On Request". Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
slruud
Just make sure the hotel you're purchasing / deal you're seeing is listed as "Available" and not as "On Request".I guess I've never seen an "On Request" hotel on Lastminutetravel.com. Everything I've ever booked has been available. To the OP...I've used LMT for a number of recent stays, and currently have LMT reservations for San Diego, Solamar, and Austin, Omni Downtown. LMT reservations are also cancellable for a small fee, so if you find a drop dead deal on Hotwire or Priceline, you can go for it and cancel LMT.Good luck. Link to comment
