A search for May 9 - May 12 shows a 3.5* for $63 and the following amenities.

Smoke-free Rooms

Airport Shuttle

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-Speed Internet Access

Tennis Nearby

I'm wondering if the Hilton has returned to the 3.5* status. It has 100% non-smoking rooms.

The results are the same with 2 adults only and with 2 adults, 2 children.

The HOTWIRE property above has not yet been identified or reported to the board, but i don't think it's the Hilton... the amenities don't match previous reports for that property, nor does the TA rating provided by HOTWIRE.

If i were to take a guess, i think the Sheraton would be a better fit and among the likely possibilities.

Just booked this 3 1/2 * RDU airport hotel on HOTWIRE for $62, $77 with all the taxes for 6/19 for 1 night. I can confirm it is the Hotel Indigo, Durham Research Triangle. Looks like it's very close to the airport on the map.

(BTW PRICELINE denied my $37 bid on a 3*, but said I could rebid for $47, seemed pointless to get a 3* for $47 when you can get a 3 1/2 for $62 gauranteed).

I ended up not buying this 3.5* hotel room from the original post. It was for someone else who wanted to be in a particular hotel where co-workers were staying.

This site is great and I always start and complete my searches and purchases through the links on this board.
