Planning April 30 - may 2nd trip to Chicago Mag Mile. I really want Conrad or James. I am getting a rate of $129 for 4.5 star. Amenities are Exercise, Restaurant, business center & internet access.

States 95% recommended rate with over 500+ reviews. Checked tripadvisor and only Intercontinental has 500+ reviews but 78% recommended. That's what confuses me from thinking it's the Intercontinental.

Please help. Thanks!

This could be the Intercontinental, Conrad or James, but there is a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating showing on the detail page, which would make me lean towards it being the Conrad or James.

Oh man, I went to purchase and it's gone. Now there is a 4.5 star for $104 with a 4 out of 5 rating. That means intercontinental?

Any chance the other 2 might come back?

In addition to my other thread regarding the 4.5 star in downtown Chicago, I am looking into another option of a 4 star. I am trying to strategize how to get Drake or Westin on Michigan Avenue.

For April 30 - May 2nd, there is a 4 star with amenities: Fitness Restaurant, Business & Highspeed Internet.

4 out of 5 on tripadvisor. Recommended by 70% of reviews.

Could this be Westin or Allerton?

What tips could I look for to get the Drake?

Thanks.

This amenity set could be a match for the Westin, Allerton, Drake or Knickerbocker. The first two have a 3.5/5 tripadvisor rating, the latter two have a 4/5.

I'm seeing a 3.5/5 tripadvisor rating at the bottom of the detail page for this listing (the "Overall Satisfaction: 4.0" rating is the HOTWIRE rating, not the tripadvisor rating.) That would lead me to believe it's either the Allerton or Westin, and the Allerton would probably be more likely of the two.

Glad to hear that you went the Intercontinental route - that's certainly a very neat property that's a nice mix of richly historic (one of the first pools built on a higher floor, and the pool area - originally built in 1929 - is gorgeous; the Grand Ballroom is also stunning) and modern. Great location, too.

There is a giant Dominicks Grocery just to the East of this hotel and Fox and Obel Gourmet Market and Cafe is on Illinois and McClurg, which is about a 3-5 minute walk East.
