vacations
Priceline:First bid was made yesterday at $45. Bid was rejected. Then bidded under spouse' name and different credit card # at $70 on that same night about 1/2hr later. This was rejected again, and interesting the instant message back from Priceline was that because I had bidded that $70 price, I could immediately submit a higher bid if it was at least $17 higher than $70. I decided to wait for today to bid. Today I submitted the bid starting at $70 (as I needed the hotel room the following day). It was accepted - Fairfield Inn & Suites Burlington. Total for 2 rooms was $164.02 ($140 + $24.02 taxes)Interestingly when I first bidded yesterday, I noticed Priceline on one of pages indicated recent bid for 2.5* star hotel in that area was $60. As such I was quite surprised when my spouse's bid was rejected at $70 yesterday. Maybe demand & supply?Sorry I think I posted this in the the wrong forum, and I don't know how to amend this!
