Using the link from savingsbarn.com, I made the following series of bids. I did not care which area I ended up in, as long as it was a 2.5* or higher in Northwest Detroit, so I had many options. It should be noted that Plymouth and Canton have nothing higher than 2* at this time. All bids were for a 2.5* for 8/17/06 only.

Interestingly, I stayed at this same hotel last week but got it as a 2.5* through Hotwire for $48/night plus taxes and fees, and I had considered doing that again. The Hotwire price at time of bidding was $49/night ($60.38/night with fees/taxes). The lowest price on the AmeriSuites website is $107/night plus taxes with AAA/AARP discount.

Overall, this is a fairly decent hotel. It has an indoor pool and free hot breakfast, which is always a plus, and all of the rooms have kitchenettes. For $10 less than I paid last time, I certainly can't complain! :)
