cvl105
How much should I be bidding for these two nights? I'm assuming I'll have to bid higher than the bids on here during normal travel time, is this correct? Any suggestions on pricing? I am looking for a resort hotel preferably, or at least a descent hotel with a pool or even better a beach. Safety is a concern, as I am a 23 yr old female who will be there for the 2 days by myself. Thank you,Chelsea Link to comment

cvl105
Hi Thank you!The Condado Plaze looks great...All I want is a pool/beach, safety, and relatively close to Old San Juan, so I can walk around and do the touristy stuff.Ideally I want to spend as little as possible. I was kinda hoping $100/night. Is that unreasonable considering it's right around Christmas. Link to comment
thereuare
San Juan is usually a bit more expensive than that during this time of year, which is during their peak season. We can suggest a strategy to follow if that is your current maximum bid... are you ready to begin bidding now? cvl105
I already bid today, so I believe I have to wait 24 hours, correct? Link to comment

thereuare
Bump this thread tomorrow when you are eligible to bid again. At that time, also let us know if a 3* is acceptable to you or if you'd rather pay more for a Resort (as i though originally that was the only hotel class you were seeking). cvl105
Bumping...back from a mini vacation and ready to try bidding again.I guess I would be open to a 3 star as well. All I really care about is the proximity to OSJ, and the hotel having a pool/beach. Link to comment
thereuare
All I really care about is the proximity to OSJ, and the hotel having a pool/beach.You do realize that neither of these are guaranteed thru Priceline? What is your maximum bid? cvl105
I do realize this. I guess I figure no matter where I am I will be close to the beach, either walking or a cab ride.I ideally would like to keep it under $100 a night. But I know this may be unrealistic considering it's the holiday season. Link to comment
thereuare
You have two re-bid zones available when bidding Resort, none when bidding 3*. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select Resort San Juan...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* San Juan...Bid $75.If rejected wait 24 hours and....Select Resort San Juan...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* San Juan...Bid $85.If the above is rejected and you want to 'get this done' there is a 3* on Hotiwre (possibly the Radisson?... match the amenities and star rating with that in our Hotwire Hotel List) for $95/nite.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. cvl105
Thank you for your help. Just wanted to let you know that it didn't work. I even tried a little bit more when I tried bidding again. It was worth the try though. Can't wait to try again on my next vacation. Thanks again for you help! Link to comment

cvl105
I've discontinued to try. I tried a for a couple days after my initial bidding, but no luck. I haven't cancelled my trip, which is a cruise. I'm just flying in the day of the cruise rather than 2 days before. Thanks again! Link to comment
