Mikee
Ok thanks...neither hotels have particularly good reviews (for $70USD maybe I shouldn't expect much!) but I'm going to hold out for the Westin. Will report back...... Link to comment
Mikee
My first time bidding on Priceline last night - started bidding at $45 for 3* in Downtown Ottawa but was rejected. Added 2 additional areas and increased bid to $50 but still rejected. Then added 2.5* and increased to $54 and won:2.5* Courtyard By Marriott Your Offer Price: $54.00 (US dollars)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 3Subtotal: $162.00 (US dollars)Taxes & Service Fees: $34.42 (US dollars)Total Charges: $196.42 (US dollars)Marriot website is currently charging $501 total for the same nights (saving me $305!). Normal cost through Priceline is $438.Having checked-out the reviews on here for this hotel, I'm pretty pleased with the hotel and price. Good location, free wifi and only $10 in-out parking per day. Would have loved the Westin but cheapest I could get was $190/night travel industry rate. This site has saved me loads of $$$ - will spread the word!-Mikee- Link to comment
