thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! For this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer: 4* Empire State Building Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $249/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> the Iberostar 70 Park Avenue Hotel would be my best guess for this one Not sure what you're looking for in a hotel for this trip, but in the same area and a little cheaper: 4* Empire State Building Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $224/nite with: Fitness Center Business Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess here would be the St. Giles - The Tuscany, should this one be of any interest Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide or how we can be of further help (or if you have any questions about your trip as i'm very familiar with this area). ComplexMo
Thanks for that. I usually stay in the Murray Hill area (used to live there so have an affinity to it). I tend to book into Pod 39 but it's priced higher than i normally pay for the queen pod, the one I previously looked at is gone but will look into the one you found. Any other ideas for something with a queen similar in quality to the pod39 under $250? Link to comment

IMO, either of the above would be a big step-up in quality vs. the Pod 39. If you're willing to spend a little more, one other option not too far from Murray Hill is this offer in the MSG zone: 4* HOTWIRE Madison Square Garden for $290.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> best guess for this one would be the Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan which is a fairly new hotel that has gnerally been getting great reviews Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. ComplexMo
So, I ended up going with EVEN hotel using a mixture of points and an IHG member deal. It cost approx $200 a night (haven't done the full math on the breakdown after the points). Thanks for the help! Link to comment
thereuare
Glad to see you found something that works well for your needs... should be a nice stay as i've heard good things about the property. You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers. Thank you for closing this thread with your decision.
