Roadguy
Its a tad easier on PRICELINE EXPRESS because of the bed choice offered on your dates , the BB 5% coupon, and Ive noticed PL often has lower taxes & fees added to the room rate. Look at the PRICELINE EXPRESS NE strip 5 star hotel and casino and you should get a bed choice matching the rooms at the Palazzo if it hasn't changed yet. I think one of the BB experts here will come soon with more and or better advice. I was just throwing my 2 cents in Link to comment
DBounlom
Am I blind? I don't see any place to enter in the BB 5% coupon. Link to comment
Roadguy
Use the PRICELINE link at the top of the screen to get to PL, after you choose your PRICELINE EXPRESS deal there should be an "Apply Coupon" tab just underneath the total cost. Click on apply coupon link and enter the code Link to comment
thereuare
Take a look at this PRICELINE EXPRESS offer (confirm your dates on the landing page): 5* The Strip - Northeast for $209 Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> you should see room types that resemble the Venetian / Palazzo... my guess for this one would be the Palazzo (although you should at least be prepared for either) Does this work for your needs and are you now able to see where to enter the code? (thanks Roadguy!) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
DBounlom
I did find the apply coupon, thanks Roadguy. I ended up booking through the PRICELINE link. It was $209 with an additional 5% BB coupon off. I did notice that the taxes were lower, as Roadguy mentioned, compared to Hotwire. However, I also noticed that the resort fee (collected by the hotel) was higher on PL versus Hotwire. I don't know if PL just misquoted the resort fee hotel, but it was suspicious that although taxes are lower, resort fees are higher. As a side note, I needed four rooms total. The PRICELINE link allows you to "add a room" after the booking. I tried adding 3 additional rooms. However, it does not apply the additional 5% BB coupon discount, so instead I booked three more separate transactions. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your win with the board... glad to see you received a nice deal at the hotel you were hoping for. The 'resort fee' is going to be the same regardless of how you book as it's charged directly by the hotel and is the same rate that any other guest (regardless of how they booked) would pay. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Have a great trip... and good luck in Vegas! Roadguy
You are both welcome. You had to book multiple rooms. Yeah, sometimes it hasn't allowed me to do that either even when I start out booking more than one room(there is a tab on the initial search screen that allows you to book multiple rooms without trying to do the add on ). I hope you get rooms close together. And the resort fee is the same for everyone, it just changes so often that sometimes the new number isn't updated or one place shows the pre tax resort fee, the other the post tax. Have a great trip!
