Apstribling
Hi! We are headed to New York 9/12-9/15. I am having a horrible time trying to find a reasonable rate. We want to stay Grand Central/Times Sq/Midtown. I use Priceline or Hotwire every time I go up but everything is really high right now. Is something going on up there then? The cheapest I found was around $245, but most are in the $300+. Should I wait it out and keep trying or bite the bullet and do the higher rate? Usually when I go it's easy to get a 4* around $175. AaronJB
Please provide a follow-up for your prior Boston Priceline thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above stay.) Closing threads is greatly appreciated, as it informs others and keeps the board organized. Thanks. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
I think you may be running into Fashion Week which always draws a big crowd into NYC... are your dates flexible at all? If not, what is the best option you're currently able to find that meets your criteria (or that you're willing to lower your star rating and/or increase your budget) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Apstribling
I would like to stay at 250 or below. I prefer to stay 4* in New York, just because I've been burned by some 3* in the past up there. I knew it had to be something going on up there- the rates have been crazy! Link to comment
thereuare
Using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool there is a 4* in the Theater District - Midtown West zone for $211/nite. Clicking the GREEN 'See All Amenities' link next to this offer shows the following amenity set (as well as a 4.5/5.0 TA rating): Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> this matches previous reports for the Yotel Times Square so that would be my best guess for this one Does this work for your needs and budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
