Invictussyd
tagging along in a last minute trip this weekend July 13 - July 18. I know its a coin flip but the only two known 4 star hotels in las vegas east of strip are Hard Rock and Westin. Going to try PRICELINE name my price and the only guaranteed amenities PRICELINE is listing are: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Guest Score 7/10 or Higher The help I would like is, is there any other options I can use to further search this to figure out the hotel. thereuare
The amenities shown on the bidding side of PRICELINE are amenities that are offered at every hotel in the zone at that star rating... not a specific hotel that you would be bidding on (in fact, at this point in the bidding process PRICELINE has not yet even searched inventory for your dates) Are you hoping for one of these over the other? If you're meeting others in Vegas where are they staying? What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for this trip? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Invictussyd
Meeting others, I figured I'd give it a shot before I book. The group is staying at hard rock, due to the last minute nature of the trip I'd say my budget before taxes/fees would be $100 per night. Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 4* in Las Vegas you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* East of the Strip... Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $100 Any questions feel free to ask, HOWEVER, i would first question even bidding for this stay... Using MAPS and HOTELS.com i found this link to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $111/nite... for $10 more than you're currently willing to bid you could be at the same hotel with your friends. At $75 it may be worth staying at a different hotel than the rest of your group but as you get closer to $100 it think it becomes less and less worthwhile, imo. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do and how it goes. Good luck! AaronJB
Thanks for keeping us updated; I definitely agree that if you start getting towards $100 I'd consider just taking the potential 'known' Hard Rock deal so that you can stay at the same hotel as friends. Please let us know if you have any questions at all.
