thereuare
Please start by following-up your previous Priceline Bidding San Francisco and Hotwire Las Vegas hotel threads with whatever you ended up doing for each of those trips, then reply here and we will have a look at your post above. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. (and avoid any delay in having your future posts responded to) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Beela
Oh snap. Sorry. Should I just respond in the links you provided above to follow up? Link to comment
thereuare
There is currently no "Old City" zone on PRICELINE... are you looking at the Historic District - Penns Landing zone? thereuare
At current rates i think the odds of landing a 4* hotel in this zone for under $175 are low as i'm seeing high rates for many hotels in the city (those that aren't sold-out) and 4* hotels in this zone starting at $359/nite. If you want to give it a try you have EIGHT re-bid zones when bidding 4* in the Philadelphia region. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 4* Historic District - Penns Landing... Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $170, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $175 Any questions feel free to ask. bookhound
Why are the rates so high for Aug 3? Link to comment
AaronJB
Bookhound; Convention, perhaps? I'm not seeing any events when searching on Google for 8/3. If you need assistance with a hotel for these dates, please start a new thread and we would be happy to offer our thoughts. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
I was at a party last weekend and another guest there was complaining about hotel rates for either 8/2 or 8/3... i gave a quick search and saw what i suspect is a large chemistry conference that was taking place in Philadelphia until 8/5, and i suspect that may be the reason for the very high rates. For her dates even airport hotels were going for $400+.
