Priceline Hotel: 3* New York City (Central Park South) Wellington Hotel

Bid on Priceline on Aug 4, for a hotel in Manhattan, check in on Aug 5.

Initial bit - $150, for 4 * rejected for zones around midtown. 

Changed bid to 3.5*, and added a few zones nearby,  bid $170, rejected.

Changed to 3*, bid $181, and won the Wellington Hotel, (rated 3.5*)  on 7th Ave near 57th.

 

Price was about $5-10 more than  could have got for this hotel on Booking.com, but the hotel turned out to be quite nice for  a 3*.

 

So I idn't save any money this time, but had a nice trip and got a decent place at short notice.

 

I used the betterbidding Priceline link.
