I initially started out trying for a 4*, bidding $55, then $60, and then $75 (while adding sections of the city lacking 4* accomodations, of course) before giving up. I then attempted a more realistic bid of $55 for a 3*, which was accepted immediately. I know I'm lucky to have gotten a room this cheaply on a holiday weekend, and I love the Marriott, so I'm thrilled all around. Link to comment
