Only see one listing (from 2003?) for Northwest Las Vegas hotel for the JW Marriott and don't think either of the hotels listed for period 1/11 thru 1/15/06 would be that hotel.

Any help appreciated on:

3 star NW Las Vegas

casino, rest, pool - $84

2.5 star NW Las Vegas

casino, rest, pool, golf nearby - $74

2 star, NW Las Vegas

casino, rest, pool, golf nearby - $67

Thanks. Have updated Chicago trip but since I received no replies and did not use Hotwire didn't know I needed to - sorry....

FYI - when searching by member name on BetterBidding.com to find my old Chicago post, AOL shuts down. It happened 5 times, so thought you might like to know....

I linked your Chicago post in the link above, but how are you searching when AOL times out?

We dont' see many users wanting to stay in this area, but here are my best guesses on the above:

The 2.5* property matches the Santa Fe Station, so that would be our best guess. Other casino properties in the area are the Fiesta Rancho and the SunCoast, so i would think that perhpas the 3* is the Sun Coast while the 2* is the Fiesta Rancho; but as stated above, these are guesses as we don't have too much history in this area since it's far from the strip where most Vegas visitors want to be (and those on a budget sooner stay downtown if not looking for the JW Marriott)

Let us know what you decide to do or if we can be of further help.

I had to search the Chicago forum by date for my initial email instead of doing it by searching by member name for my posting. I tried it again this morning (searching by member name) and AOL again shut down, so there is some glitch in that link.

Thanks for info on Northwest hotels - much appreciated. My family lives in Northwest Las Vegas and I am always looking for a hotel room in that area. No specific dates at this point but will keep for further info. I recognize the JW Marriott but had no idea about the "lesser" starred properties.

Searching: are you using the SEARCH button on the top right of the page and searching by member name and forum only? (ie-are you including any text to search by?)

What happens when you click your member name anywhere on the board, then click PROFILE OPTIONS on the top right of the ensuing page, then FIND MEMBER'S POSTS?

What do you mean "No specific dates at this point..."? Above you posted "1/11 thru 1/15/06", do you not have an upcoming stay for these dates?

Yes, I used the SEARCH button at the top right of the page. To find my original Chicago post, I typed in my member name and it kicked me off each time. So instead I looked back 90 days in the Chicago post and found it - not a problem. Likewise, when I click on my member name then click PROFILE OPTIONS and FIND MEMBER'S POST, there is no problem. Only when I check using SEARCH and my member name.

I am planning a trip to Las Vegas but my dates are open right now. Since there are rarely Northwest Las Vegas hotels listed (the occasional JW Marriott only), when I saw these 3 NW Las Vegas hotels pop up for 1/11 thru 1/15 I wondered which properties they were. I do not make my flight plans until I am sure I have a place to stay, as I had to cut my stay short last week due to convention and sold out rooms in town. I have not yet booked this trip and may push it back until I find a decent accomodation.

:) Please don't post inquiries for dates which you are not actually considering or for properties you are just 'curious' about.

I spent the better part of 20+ minutes trying to figure out the above hotels, thinking, based upon your post, that you needed a hotel in this area within the next 3 days. The hotels you asked about may not even show up for your actual dates of travel, so it's not a productive use of time to try to figure these out since the may not even be offered for your dates of travel.

You are mistaken - I am not just CURIOUS about these dates and I AM booking a trip. :) FYI - for a city such as Las Vegas, I cannot afford to book a flight if I do not have a hotel room. I had to fly home last week because a convention came into town and hotels were all sold out. I cannot afford a trip without a room. Therefore, I am looking for hotels before booking airfare.

Thank you for your hard work, time and effort - I do appreciate it and would not waste your time by posting for no reason.

I'll update if I get a flight and take a room at any of the 3 properties listed for those dates. All three are still listed (I check every morning, noon and night, believe me.)
