Although this is low season in NYC, sub-$100 have been seen less and less frequently over the last few years as the economy has improved (and business travel and picked-up)... it may also be more difficult on a longer stay such as this one. However, i depending upon the zones you're willing to accept, i do thin that something in the $90-$110 area would be possible at the 4* level.

As far as when to bid, nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your stay... best to 'know' what a good price would be for these dates and use that as the upper end of your bid range (you can use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com to see current rates at 4* hotels for your dates in the zones you're willing to accept, then determine how much of a discount you would need to make locking in the deal now worthwhile). For more on this topic see the related 'Bid Early or Close to Check-in' link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

Let us know which zones are you willing to accept and your maximum bid at this point in time and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow.
