breejan
I'm looking for a hotel near the Orange County Convention Center for July 29 - August 1. I'm looking at a Priceline.Express Deal for a 4* in Intl. Drive - Convention Center Rated 8.0 out of 10. Amenities include: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Restaurant Fitness Center Business Center This was found using Bidding.Helper. Link to comment
thereuare
These amenities are common for a 4* hotel in this area (or most areas for that matter), but the Westin Orlando Universal Boulevard has previously been seen with this amenity set so that would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. breejan
I've decided to not take a chance this time, just going to book I room with a skywalk to the convention center. Link to comment

breejan
$102 for July 29 - Aug. 1 ResortSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterSelf service laundryInternet accessGolf Nearby (I asked about a Priceline hotel a few days ago but then thought I would just book a room elsewhere so that I'd know the hotel was connected by skywalk to our convention center. I just can't bring myself to pay $160 + $20/day parking so I'm back looking for help again.) :) It looks like hotels within the I-drive north and I-drive south areas are 15 minutes or less drive from the convention center. AaronJB
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOT.WIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our Bidding.Helper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Thank you for using the board's HOT.WIRE or PRICE.LINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
breejan
I'm not seeing the same one for $102 but it does look like the same one is now $99 using the Bidding.Helper link. Resort, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower Link to comment
thereuare
The Hyatt Regency Orlando would be my best guess for this one. breejan
That would be excellent since that is the hotel for which I was considering paying $180+. Link to comment

breejan
Did you take it? How did it go?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases The price has gone up... just a few dollars but I've also realized that there is a $20/day resort fee. I'm struggling with spending so much just to have that air conditioned skywalk to the convention center. I could pay much less for a 4* less than 5 miles away with free parking. Link to comment

AaronJB
Unfortunately, this property has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but I'm seeing a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page, so this property does get excellent reviews overall. breejan
I finally made a decision on this stay. I chose the 4.5* on I-Drive South. Using Bidding.Helper Quick View produced the lowest price. It fluctuated between $97 - $108/night. It changed within seconds! Once I clicked on it when it showed up for $97 but when it went to the Hot.wire page the price showed as $100. I was skeptical when the $95 price showed up but I was able to complete the sale at that price. 2 tips: ~Be prepared to add $20/night for the resort fee as mentioned in this forum. (I will be speaking to somebody at the front desk to have this removed or ask them to at least throw in coupons for breakfast.) ~I got a lower price by not booking my first night. The lowest price I got when I made Monday my check-in day was $108. By making Tuesday my check-in day the rate ranged from $95 - $102. Tue, Jul 29, 2014 - Fri, Aug 01, 2014 Rate per night $95.00 Nights 3 Rooms (2 adults) Subtotal $285.00 Tax recovery charges + fees $62.17 Hotwire total $347.17 Estimated resort fee Pay at hotel $60.00 Trip total $407.17 This hotel had been my first choice and the lowest price I found for it elsewhere (guessing my hotel before completing purchase) was approximately $165 so I'm satisfied with this.
