nachoargentina
Hi guys!I'll be staying in Las Vegas from Apr. 8 to Apr. 14. We need 2 rooms and we were hopping to get a 4* or 5*. Our budget is around $80/night and we would like to get something close to the stript. Do you think this is achievable? or am I asking too much? :)Thanks in advance for all your advice! AaronJB
5* for $80 is unlikely - I think a 5* would take between $100-110 +/-. A 4* would be doable within your price range - are both the South and North strip zone/s acceptable? Or would you want to push higher for a 5*?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
nachoargentina
If you think 5* isn't doable for $80, I would go 4*.The zones I was thinking of were:- Las Vegas Strip North- Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South- Las Vegas Strip Vicinity NorthI think there's a couple of very nice 4* properties there. AaronJB
Despite the existence of a 4* option in Strip North Vicinity, no 4*'s have been reported to the board in this zone and there may not be any.If Strip North and Strip South are acceptable, then I would start at $50 and work higher by $5's.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. yellowdog
tiajnThanx for your input.Rates are date specific so the bidding history for your own trip, which are for dates different than OP's, may have very little to do with what is needed to win for his/her own stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.yellowdog. nachoargentina
Hi guys.I've tried with 4.5 and 5 stars with bids up to 90 dollars on both strip north and south and no luck yet.I see now an offer in Hotwire for a 5* for 116/night for the dates I'm travelling and I would need help from you to ID them. The amenities listed in BiddingHelper.com are:Free Parking, Free Internet, Suite, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in showerIt also says 90% recommended and that the hotel charges a $25 fee resort fee.My guesses are either the Vdara or the Four Seasons. What do you think?I'll be eagerly waiting for your answers! :) Link to comment
nachoargentina
More help to ID another hotel please! It's a 4* located in Strip North. 75% recommended, charges 19,95 as a "resort fee", full amenities from BiddingHelper.com are:Free Parking, Free Internet, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in showerIt could be either Treasure Island or The Mirage....and I'm really hoping is The Mirage. What do you guys think? Link to comment
thereuare
Please include the room rate per nite in your posts as it makes it easier to find the same property when trying to replicate your search.I'm seeing a different 4* hotel than what you've listed above (or you haven't included all the amenities, which you should copy/paste from BiddingHelper.com to avoid missing any). This is the full list i'm currently seeing for the 4* hotel offered in this zone:Free Parking Free Internet Resort Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower If this is what you're seeing my best guess would be Treasure Island or Mirage, and as both look the same before purchase there is no way to know which one it may be, from a probability standpoint i'd heavily lean towards Treasure Island as the Mirage is seen very rarely. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. nachoargentina
Here's the HOTWIRE rate I'm seeing. Dates are Apr. 8 to Apr. 14. 5* at The Strip South, 114/night, 90% recommended, $25 resort fee, 4.5 in every score, 4.5 out of 5 in trip advisor.Full amenities from bidding helper:Free Parking, Free Internet, Suite, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in showerVdara? thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If you ultimately use HOTWIRE the entire thread will automatically be moved to the correct section of the board when you use the EDIT TO REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of this page. Our budget is around $80/night...What is the room rate of the HOTWIRE property above? I'm assuming it is more than $80/nite, have you increased your budget since you first posted 2 days ago? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. nachoargentina
I'm sorry for opening another post in the HOTWIRE session. I thought since I was asking about Hotwire now, I should do it over there.I've increased my budget since 2 days ago because last night I bid up to $110 for a 5* and up to $95 for a 4* and got nothing on PRICELINE.I bid on Strip North, Strip Vicinity North and Strip Vicinity South. So, being frustated as I was, I go in and check HOTWIRE using BiddingHelper.com. And there I see (and still do) a 5* in The Strip South area for $114/night. Only 4 more dollars than the 110 that I bid in PRICELINE.I also saw the 4* in HOTWIRE, but pricer are very close to the 5*, so I thought to go for a 5* directly. The full amenities (from bidding helper Hotwire easy view) include:Free Parking, Free Internet, Suite, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in showerAnother useful info would be that they charge a 25 resort fee, 90% recommended, 4 1/2 in every score, 4 1/2 in tripadvisor.BTW, I'm now also seeing a 5* hotel for 118/night in The Strip North Area.Full amenities are:Free Parking, Free Internet, Spa Services, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Kitchenette90% recommended, $25 resort fee, 4.5 score on everything (incluiding tripadvisor). What do you think both this hotels are? do you need any other info? Link to comment
nachoargentina
I figured out that the one in Strip North has to be the Trump, since it has kitchenette. Still puzzled over the one in Strip South. The Vdara most likely... Link to comment
thereuare
Best guess for the Strip South property would be the Vdara, with a slight chance of the Four Seasons (has been seen with the same amenity set but seen very rarely)For the Strip North property i'd agree that the Trump Tower International would be the best guess here. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. nachoargentina
Hi guys! Thanks for all your help. I ended up taking the Hotwire offer (always using the links provided here :)). It turned out to be the Vdara as we expected. I think I got a good deal, 114/night. I bid up to 110 in Priceline before and had no luck! Now on to San Diego! :) Link to comment
