AaronJB
There is no way to ensure a particular property when using the discount services, which is one of the trade-offs for the discounted prices. Are you only interested in the Caribe Hilton?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. perry12
Yeah, the two hiltons in san juan seemed to have some really nice reviews. I'm open to suggestions! also, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the bidding strategy, but can't you tell what hotel you are about to book by the amenities listed??Thanks for the help! thereuare
HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS show amenities that are related to a specific hotel that is being offered, so with either of these services you can try to take a guess as to which hotel you may receive... with PRICELINE bidding there is no information regarding a specific hotel provided so it is therefore not possible to take a guess as to the hotel when you 'name your own price'.Are you flexible in regards to the hotel you receive OR do you need to be able to take a guess before your purchase? What is it that you're looking for from this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. perry12
I'm getting married, and this will be our honeymoon :) we are trying to do it on a budget, but are looking for a nice hotel with nice bedding and a nice pool area, also would prefer the hotel to be right on the beach. thereuare
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials Note that the Condado area does not have a great beach area, the beach at the Hilton is man made and sits on sort of a lagoon so there are no waves and not really a 'true' beach, imo (although they do have a great pool area) If you're looking for the beach i would recommend the Isla Verde area. Also, note that PRICELINE has one zone, 'San Juan', for this entire area where HOTWIRE has recently sub-divided this region into three smaller zones, which makes it a little easier to target a specific geographic region.HOTWIRE does have a 4* hotel in the Isla Verde zone for $111/nite with the following amentiies:Resort Beachfront Casino Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... best guess for this property would be the InterContinental which is on a great stretch of beach and also has a very nice pool area. I was there a few years back and felt the rooms could use a bit of a sprucing up (not sure if they have been in the interim or not) but the room was clean, and the pool area, beach, and location are excellent.Would this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
