stushags
Hello, Normally I just bid and I am fine with whatever hotel I get at the rate i want but this time i need to book one of the following hotels. Does anyone have any advice on booking 2 rooms from 11/15/13 to 11/18/13. Any help would be great. Link to comment
AaronJB
There is no way to guarantee a particular hotel or avoid a particular hotel when bidding. You have to be willing to accept ANY of the hotels at the star rating chosen in the zone/s chosen. With HOTWIRE you can make an educated guess as to which hotel is showing, but there's still no guarantees and the hotel you are looking for may not be showing for your date/s.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. stushags
As per usual I am trying to get the cheapest rate one a 5 star Vegas strip north hotel on Priceline we will need 2 rooms but wanted some advice on starting bids or if anyone recently won hotels in this area for this time period and what the price/hotel was Link to comment
thereuare
If you want to see wins for the same time frame you can use our Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins tool and/or our Priceline Maps.Assuming you don't want the Trump (in the Strip North Vicinity zone) this stay will likely run you about $110-$130... is this within your expected budget? Please confirm if we can use $130 as a maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Ewok812
If you see a Priceline Express deal for Strip North with a 9.0 guest rating, that will likely be Palazzo. While it might not be the best rate, at least you are getting a hotel you want. Link to comment
muchputt1
Is the resort fee at Venetian/Pallazo madatory? I heard they are no longer allowing opt outs. Link to comment
thereuare
Unless their policy has changed, as far as i know, the resort fee is indeed mandatory. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. retfar
I stayed at the Venetian in May and when I checked in, they gave me the option to pay the resort fee or not. Since I needed wifi, I told them I would pay it. My friends arrived later that day and I told them that it seemed like they could refuse to pay the resort fee at check-in and indeed they did refuse to pay it and all was fine. They were even able to pick up free wifi without having paid anything. I felt so stupid. Paid all that money when I didn't have to. Link to comment
stushags
I ended up winning two rooms at the venetian for $125 a night for a king. I called and got it upgraded to a 2 queen room since it was for a group for $30 additional per night. It was a great experience I would go back for sure. Link to comment
