Priceline Hotel: Looking for a deal

Looking for a deal from Dec 7-9 for 2 nights in Pittsburgh. We will be mostly touring the downtown area and catching the NFL game on Sunday. I tried marking of all the areas near downtown including Greentree and Pittsburgh North but I can't find anything for $70 for a 3*+. Please advise.

I tried Downtown 3.5* for $72, rejected.

I tried Downtown, South Side, Shady Side, University Center 3* for $60, all rejected!!!!

In your first post you mention Greentree and Pittsburgh North as zones that you have bid, but then don't mention in either in your second post.

Please reply with exactly which zones you have bid at the 3.5* level and how high you have bid, and then do the same for your bidding history at the 3* level... we'll then take a closer look at rates for your dates.

PS - the 3* I'm seeing right now is $78? In other cities I have noticed Hotwire slightly raising prices on the weekend and dropping them back down during the week. That may account for the rate difference. Or it could be a different hotel.

This property is 2* rated (lower than you've already bid), more expensive then you have already tried for 3* hotels, and has a 1.0/5.0 Tripadvisor rating... is this something you would really be interested in??

It appears that you have not yet bid more than $60 on PRICELINE, nor have you yet bid the Pittsburgh North zone (only the North Shore-Stadiums zone)... is this an area you're now considering? Do you want to first bid up to your $70 limit in the previous zones you have tried? If this zone is now acceptable do you want to first try bidding this area for a lower price?
