Latitudes
Latest update:3* San Jose $45 - Rejected+ Redwood City - San Carlos $46 - RejectedBy the time Priceline adds tax and fees to my bid, the total comes out at over $58. I think I can get something on Hotwire for around that price.I have an early flight out of SJC on 9/30 and would like to be close to the airport. I'm beginning to think that Priceline is not my best option for San Jose hotels, especially since they have combined the airport area with downtown San Jose. I know they are not far for one another, but taxi cab fares are expensive there - $18 from the city to SJC airport.Any recommendations for bidding strategy on Priceline or Hotwire? Link to comment
thereuare
Any Hotwire proerty in the Airport zone, and with a Shuttle icon, is substantially more than you've already bid. Latitudes
Any Hotwire proerty in the Airport zone, and with a Shuttle icon, is substantially more than you've already bid.I'm seeing a 3* on Hotwire at SJC airport for $63. That is only five dollars more than my current rejected Priceline bid of $46 + taxes of $12.25.The point I'm making is that Priceline doesn't seem to be a good deal for these particular requirements. I could be successful by getting a Priceline bid accepted at $47 or $48, but I have no control over it being on airport. It could just as easily be downtown, and if it is, the $18 taxi fare to SJC would not make Priceline a cost-effective option. Link to comment
Latitudes
My bad. I didn't include taxes on the Hotwire price. Duh! :) Okay - maybe I should keep trying Priceline. Link to comment
