Cora
Hi, I'd love to hear any feedback on this issue:I was initially going for a 5* North Strip casino (not Trump) for the weekend of 10/5-10/7, but after I was rejected at $150 I decided to go ahead and include 4* North Strip casinos in my bidding, and I bid all the way up to $115 using the zone method. I was still rejected at $115 for a 4* North Strip casino! (Last year I got rooms at TI for $95...) I will try again tomorrow bidding up to around $125 I guess. Or I could add the South Strip casinos...but I am not as familiar with them, really would prefer TI, The Mirage or one of the 5*s on the N Strip...Also, this naming of the South Strip hotels worries me a bit: "Las Vegas Strip Vicinity South." We definitely don't want to be off the strip at all! Does anyone have ideas of where the bid would be accepted for a 4* N Strip casino for that weekend? Or if it's safe to book the South Strip "vicinity?" Thanks! :) Link to comment
Cora
Wow, maybe that is just a busy weekend in Vegas, or maybe I waited too long...Anyway Hotwire has the following 4* North Strip hotel available for $136, a little more than I wanted to pay, but that's ok. Does this sound like TI or The Mirage? It wouldn't be Trump would it? AaronJB
Different date/s often lead to substantially different rates and additionally, rates have ticked up over the last few years. The HOTWIRE listing above would be a possible match for Mirage or TI, although I'd lean towards the latter. In terms of possible hotels, there are lists located in each subforum that provide the list of hotels that have been reported to the board on PRICELINE/HOTWIRE - Priceline and Hotwire Hotel Lists Nevada.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Cora
I finally got a bid through for $125 per night for TI for the weekend of 10/5-10/7. It's a little more than I wanted to spend, but still a big discount, and I really like the location and service at TI, so I'm happy. Thanks all for the help and advice! :) Link to comment
