AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)These dates are fairly busy - the Fall is traditionally on the busier side in the city. I do see a 3* on HOTWIRE in the Mag Mile-River North area w/Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower My guess is that this is a new amenity set for the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza. The issue in this case is that this is the cheapest listing by a fairly wide margin - the next cheapest downtown listing for these dates is another $31 a night. You could try bidding $80-90 for a 3* for these dates on PRICELINE in the River North-NMA area, but given how busy the October period traditionally is, I'd consider taking the HOTWIRE listing fairly quickly as there is the risk it may go quickly, given how much cheaper it is than the next cheapest listing.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. pzulnas
Thanks Aaron.Looking at priceline express deal, 3star in North Michigan Ave-River North Area going for $99Rated 7This Hotel has: Indoor or Outdoor Pool | Business CenterAny guess which hotel is this? Link to comment
AaronJB
It could also quite likely be the Holiday Inn. There are a lot of 3* properties in this zone rated 7 or higher, and the couple of amenities don't really narrow it down a great deal - there would still be about 5 different possibilities (one of the Courtyards, the Holiday Inn, the Four Points, the Hilton Garden Inn and the Homewood, and the Homewood hasn't been seen as a win in ages - the Holiday Inn would probably be the most likely, followed by the Four Points), unfortunately. You could bid and see if the Holiday Inn or another 3* would accept a bid somewhat lower than the HOTWIRE rate.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. thereuare
When bidding 3* in Chicago you have THREE re-bid zones available. See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your third re-bid zone with the board. If you read the previous link and are confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you. Once you have your re-bid zones confirmed/understood let us know your maximum bid for a 3* hotel for this trip and we'll suggest a better strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB
With what appears to be the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza at $99 still this afternoon, I'd be surprised if a bid wasn't accepted at the $85-95 neighborhood. The Holiday Inn Mart Plaza is a little out of the way in the far SW corner of the zone, but it's an easy walk to the restaurants of the River North area and there is an "L" station right at Mart Plaza. Additionally, if the HOTWIRE listing is the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, some users have been able to upgrade to river view (no guarantees, but it is worth trying to ask about if you do stay there.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
