MarieJ
For Sun-Tues I found the hotels to drop as low as $74 a night for a 4* and $147 for a 5*. If I wanted to win a bid at $60 and $99 respectively where should I start? First choice to stay South Strip, then north strip.I've read the re-bidding forum extensively so that I don't make a mistake. My only concern was when I read an article there was an update at the end where the bidder was placed at a resort outside his desired area because he chose a 4* and Henderson which did not have a 4* but a resort. This terrified me a little because I can not risk being stuck out at Henderson. Can you please address how I can avoid this? May I please have assistance in identifying the following hotel?Travel dates 6/10-6/12First hotel:4-star Hotel in Las Vegas Strip - NorthThis Hotel features the following amenities:ResortFree ParkingCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesThis hotel charges a resort fee. This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about US$ 25 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire Link to comment

MarieJ
My top choice would be to try to bid for 5* for $99 strip south, if rejected, 4* strip south for $60. Then options 1 then 2 from your response. I would like to try to bid first then fall back on the Hotwire hotels if bids fail. Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones and at the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip South...Bid $87, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $92, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $94, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $96, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $102, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $104, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $106, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $108, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110If the above is rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Strip South...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. MarieJ
Good Morning!Just wanted to let you know that my bid for Strip South was a bust, I used the strategy below and did not win my top choices. I switched over to Strip North 4* and repeated the steps. After being rejected at $60 at the 4th try, I added Las Vegas Vicinity South and increased to $65. I won the bid and got Treasure Island. Thank you for all your help! I will post the winning bid. Am I supposed to start a new thread or am I suppose to change the title of this one or something? Thanks again!Marie Link to comment
Romelle
You just post the win in this thread so other members get to follow the complete process. There often is a lot of information in the details of the posts before the win that other members find helpful. The administration changes the title to reflect the details of your win. For future reference (and to prevent terror), Resorts act like 4 1/2s. Thus, if you are bidding 4* and looking for free rebids, you don't want to include a zone that allows Resort bidding. Priceline can "upgrade" you from the 4 you are bidding to Resort (~4.5). Nice win. Have fun.Romelle Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! In the future you can actually edit the topic title yourself by using the EDIT TO REPORT WIN button on the lower right corner of the page. However, you can't see it now since 1) it's only visible to the topic starter of the thread and, 2) it can only be used once so it disappears once it's used (and since we have no edited your topic title, it has disappeared ;) ) Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
