m1chelle
I'm travelling with a party of 3 and we are staying one night in downtown Louisville on May 12. We'd love the Brown Hotel or Seelbach, or 21c Museum. I notice, however, with Priceline and Hotwire, we aren't able to guarantee 2 beds. Is there any way to know for such if the hotel won't cause issues if we show up with three people? Link to comment
m1chelle
Oh dear. I'm sorry - put this in the wrong place and can't figure out how to move it. Link to comment

Romelle
Don't worry about moving your post. There isn't any way you can do it. However, the moderators do it regularly to keep things orderly. I know I've slipped and put a post in the wrong area, and it promptly magically pops up right where it belongs. I'm sure you know you can't target a specific hotel on Priceline. On Hotwire, by comparing the amenities offered to those posted by prior member wins, the moderators can make a well educated guess as to which hotel you might get. Not 100% sure, but good. For that matter, you can also browse the Hotwire hotel list yourself and see if you find a match. There is no way to guarantee two beds with Priceline. With Hotwire, by putting in 3 guest, you can sort of force the issue. The second bed could be a fold-out sofa though.Romelle Link to comment
thereuare
PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. If this is not a risk you're willing to accept, then HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc) Would this work for your needs? If so, if you do a HOTWIRE search for 3adults does the same 4.5* property appear and still within your budget (the price may go up when searching for more than double occupancy)... if you click the 'See all' link under the amenities are there more than what you've included in your previous post above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.PS- please also update your Priceline Chicago with any decisions and/or your current thoughts for that trip. m1chelle
Thanks. Not seeing any 4.5* with a search for 3 adults. I think I will hold out to see if that is updated closer to our stay. Link to comment
thereuare
Some hotels don't offer inventory to HOTWIRE for more than double occupancy, so you may want to consider 4* hotels or anything else that is offered which may be of interest.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help along the way. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. m1chelle
I just got another new offer on HOTWIRE. This time it shows as available for 3 guests. It's 4.5* in downtown Louisville. Amenities: Free Internet Smoke Free RoomsFitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services Sounds like the 21c Museum to me. Shows 4.5 rating on Tripadvisor, and that's the only hotel with 4.5* downtown (Brown is 4/5 on tripadvisor). What do you think? Link to comment
