jillmbr
Very excited about the room price, not so excited about paying $52 per day for parking! Any suggestions for nearby parking? Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success. :)There are a number of garages in the surrounding area, and I believe Navy Pier (which is a bit of a stroll, but a nice stroll) is about $22-25. Unfortunately, parking in the city in general is pricey + high city tax at garages. Garages will likely range around $25-35 nearby +/-. Here is one a few blocks away for $32 (there definitely are others, this one just has a website with information and you can look at other nearby lots on their site - http://chicago.centralparking.com/Chicago-446-East-Ontario-Street-Parking.html)I've enjoyed my stays at this property a few times in the past, as I've found it clean and with somewhat larger-than-average rooms. However, I would suggest maybe asking for a higher floor (some people have complained of noise from the nearby hospital - I've never noticed it) and I would check your bill upon departure, as I was double charged on a PRICELINE reservation here once. There is a Corner Bakery (breakfast/lunch/dinner) across the street as a nearby "room service alternative".Can you confirm the amenities that were showing with this listing? Thanks.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
hellyea
So was this the Sheraton or the Wyndham? Here are some parking garages that are cheaper that are located on the other side of the river -- about a 10 - 15 minute walk and are cheaper than the $50. Also check the rates at Northwestern Hospital Garages which may be cheaper. http://www.nmh.org/nm/hospital-guide-parkinghttp://www.parkmillenniumchicago.com/Parking.aspx If you get useful information from this site (which I'm sure is why you're here) be sure to use the links in the support section to book your room!!! AaronJB
This is a win for the Wyndham that was posted separately and merged into this thread which was originally began as a discussion about the Sheraton. Link to comment
